Hike, read, write, play
Nature camps for young trailblazers,
curious naturalists, eager readers & budding writers in Cupertino & Los Altos
Outdoor day camps in Cupertino & Los Altos for spring break and summer. Ages 5-10, grades K-5.
Upcoming Sessions with SPACES OPEN: Spring Break Camp (April 13-17) and Summer Camp (July-August)
Does your child love animals and learning on outdoor adventures, not just from home on screens? We hear the call of the wild in Cupertino and Los Altos Hills at Rancho San Antonio County Park and Open Space Preserve. K-5th graders explore, hike, play, and learn in outdoor nature camps. Call of the Wild Camps are 100% outdoors with nature as our living classroom. Cupertino and Los Altos Hills camps have small groups, usually eight to ten children. Kids share a love of nature, learning, and friendship in the great outdoors.
At Inspire Behavioral Learning®, we believe in learning by doing, so lessons are relevant to the learner's environment, engaging the whole child - head, heart, and body. Cupertino and Los Altos nature camps are a fun blend of outdoor education and recreation. Our day camps combine:

-
Biology and language arts enrichment
-
Kindness for campers and animals
-
Enjoyable exercise on hikes and in play!

Child to staff ratio: most sessions 4:1 or 5:1
Activities
Educational nature camps for K-5 combine hiking, reading, writing, play, art, and nature connection. In active day camps, kids hike in Rancho San Antonio County Park and Open Space Preserve, navigate trails, explore nature, learn amazing animal facts, play entertaining perspective-taking games, read and craft their own stories with wilderness themes, illustrate stories, create and perform skits, craft nature-inspired art, do scavenger hunts, nature journal, practice storytelling across genres, deepen their sense of wonder and respect for nature, become eco-conscious, eat healthy food, develop executive functioning skills to become hike leaders, strengthen stamina, make friendships, and more!

Hikes and trails at Rancho San Antonio County Park and Open Space Preserve: Call of the Wild explorers do nature walks on Permanente Creek Tr and Lower Meadow Tr to Deer Hollow Farm, nature exploration at Permanente Creek, and hikes on Farm Bypass Tr and other trails, such as part of Wildcat Loop Tr.
Common animals kids spot at Rancho San Antonio: deer grazing in the meadow and creek, California ground squirrels, Western gray squirrels, wild turkeys and other bird species, and Western fence lizards. At Deer Hollow Farm, campers enjoy seeing and learning about the goats, cows, sheep, pigs, chickens, ducks, geese, and rabbits.
